Ghana champions Asante Kotoko has announced the date for their pre-season friendly with Nigerian champions Rivers United in Turkey.
The Porcupines will head to Europe next week to continue with their preparations for the next campaign, and, among the friendlies they have lined up includes a game with the Nigerian champions.
Kotoko's tour of Turkey will be between August 15 and 30 with the record Ghana champions looking to put themselves in good shape for the start of next season.
They will come up against their Nigerian counterparts on Wednesday, August 24 in Istanbul in a showdown between two of West Africa's biggest football forces.
The Nigerian champions will also be in Turkey next month as part of their preparations for next season, and, the game with Kotoko will offer them an opportunity to test their readiness for the start of their campaign.
Both Asante Kotoko and Rivers United will partake in the CAF Champions League competition next season and, their tour of Turkey will hopefully put them in good stead to do well in their upcoming contests.
