Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette: Arsenal team needs to improve

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette made the comments after Arsenal's dramatic 3-3 draw with West Ham, in which they came back from a three-goal deficit.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has defended Alexandre Lacazette after the Frenchman alleged his teammates "disrespected" Mikel Arteta's pre-match instructions before the 3-3 draw with West Ham.

When the Frenchman made the admission soon after the Gunners' dramatic comeback at the London Stadium, it raised eyebrows.

“The feeling is mixed because I'm proud of my team for coming back in the second half and disappointed with the first half,” he told Sky Sports.

“We didn't follow the coach's game plan. We didn't expect this, but we'll have to consider it."

Lacazette added when asked why they didn't follow Arteta's plan: "I'm not sure. Perhaps we were under duress because we knew it was a big game.

“This is an area where we must improve. To be ready for the end of the season, we'll have to put in a lot of effort."
