“Joining Hearts of Oak is a Dream Come True” - New Midfielder

Accra Hearts of Oak have been in the transfer market in a bid to augment their squad for the 2022/23 CAF Champions League and the domestic league.

The Phobians were not at their best last season despite sweeping the table last two seasons where they won the domestic treble.

Hearts of Oak won the league ahead of Asante Kotoko and managed to claim the MTN FA Cup after beating AshantiGold by 8-7 on penalty shootouts at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Phobians managed to win the 2021/22 MTN FA Cup after coming from a goal down to beat Bechem United 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

The MTN FA Cup glory made it possible for the Phobians to claim a record 12th FA Cup title and a return to the CAF Champions League.

Hearts of Oak have augmented their squad in the past weeks with Cameroon striker, Junior Kaaba, Eric Ofori Antwi as a free agent and Yakubu Zakari for next season.

One of the latest to join the club is Wisdom Bumekpor who says he is privileged to join the biggest club in Ghana.

“It is a dream come true to play for the biggest club in Ghana and for that matter one of the best in Africa. It is a huge jump for me." He said.

Hearts of Oak Oak’s Facebook page also read after the capture of the young player. “All you need to know about our new signed player Wisdom Bumekpor.
