Asante Kotoko Confirm The Signing Of Cameroonian Defender, Ready To Play For Position

Ghana Premier League defending champions Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of Cameroonian defender Koualao Dane Djomian Thomas Pele on a three year deal. He joins Asante Kotoko as a free player.

โ€œWe are pleased to announce the signing of versatile Cameroonian defender, ๐Š๐จ๐ฎ๐š๐ฅ๐š๐จ ๐ƒ๐š๐ง๐ž ๐ƒ๐ฃ๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐š๐ง ๐“๐ก๐จ๐ฆ๐š๐ฌ ๐๐ž๐ฅ๐žฬ€ on a free transfer for a period of three years.โ€ Asante Kotoko wrote on their official Facebook page.

The new arrival is expected to enforce competition with the players available. Thomas Pele will hence be competing with Mubarak Yussif, Ismail Ganiu and others for a regular position.

Thomas Pele joins the list of Cameroonian that are plying their trade for Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League. George Mfegue and Frank Etouga were the two Cameroonians that played a key role for Asante Kotoko in their title triumph, but they have added a goalkeeper and a defender all from the West African nation.

Asante Kotoko will be representing Ghana in 2022/23 CAF Champions League and that has pushed them to augment their squad with foreign players.

The Kumasi-based club has already confirmed the capture of Steven Mukwala, with Sulley Ali Muntari reported set to be unveiled in the coming hours. Other deals are in the pipeline for confirmation and announcement.
