Mr Jonathan Abbey Pobee, veteran football administrator and president of Neoplan Stars Football Club, has stated that within the next ten years no Ghanaian football club wouls be able to win any trophy be it Confederations or Champions League.
According to Mr. Abbey Pobee, Ghana's league system isn't constructed well so the likelihood of a Ghanaian team winning any trophies is slim to none.
"In ten years to come, no Ghanaian club can win an African cup. No Ghanaian club can because our league system isn't the best. Even the team that played with Hearts recently has played five league matches so the fitness is there.
In Ghana, we have no match fitness and we haven't even began our league", he told Peace Power Sports during an interview.
He added that in order to prevent this in future, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and it's members need to learn from their predecessors in the olden days and also check congress.
"Congress keeps being postponed but we have to go back and learn but until then I still remain that no club in this country can take any cup with our current league system", the football administrator reiterated.
