No Mendy No Problem, As Chelsea Beat Tottenham By Three Goals To Zero

Chelsea played their 5th English Premier league game today against Tottenham away from home without Edouard Mendy in goal. This is the first time this season Chelsea played a game without their first goalkeeper Edouard Mendy but they had no problem at all at the defence. Chelsea managed to beat Tottenham by three goals to zero to claim all 3 points to go 1st on the premier league table precisely matching with Liverpool.

Tottenham controlled the game in the first half over Chelsea, creating most chances and playing most shots on target but couldn't score a goal. Kepa produced outstanding saves as the first half ended in a goalless draw.

Chelsea came back stronger in the second half than the first half, managing to score first from a cross by Alonso and a header by Thiago Silva to make it 1 goal to nil in the 49th minute. Kante extended the lead to 2 goals to nil in the 57th minute after an outside box shot by Kante deflected into the back of the net off a Tottenham defender. Rudiger made the score 3 goals to nil in the dying minute.

Kepa managed a clean sheet on his part as Chelsea's defence were solid against Tottenham. No Mendy in goal meant no problem at all for Chelsea and their back line. Fulltime score remained 3 goals to nil in favour of Chelsea.
