Karim Benzema will miss Sunday's “El Clasico” due to a calf injury

Karim Benzema did not train with the rest of the team today at Valdebebas according to Mundo Deportivo. He, along with Ferland Mendy and Gareth Bale, trained indoors while the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad did their routine training session.

Karim Benzema is not training with the group one day before El Clásico, which means he will likely miss the game.

There has been no miracle with Benzema. The French striker will miss tomorrow's Clásico, Sunday, at the Bernabéu.

This morning's training in Valdebebas was decisive to see if Benzema could be in the Clásico, and the Frenchman did not come out onto the pitch to start training with his teammates.

That means that Benzema will miss the Classic, thus adding to Mendy's loss with a muscle injury.

The French striker has tried until the end not to miss the duel against Barcelona, but has not arrived in time to recover from the injury that occurred this past Monday in Mallorca.

Without Benzema, Ancelotti must find a solution up front. Without the Frenchman, Real Madrid's offensive power drops a lot, and it remains to be seen what the Italian coach does.

Jovic and Mariano are the other nine members of the white team, but Ancelotti does not seem to trust them much, although it should not be ruled out that he opts for Mariano.

The other solution is to play with a "false nine." There appear to be the options of Isco, Marco Asensio, and Bale.
