Ghanaian can be said to be surprised with the age of a new player Kumasi Asante Kotoko have signed. The Porcupine Warriors on yesterday morning around 11:00 am took to their social media platform to announce the signing of a Ghanaian winger, Dickson Afoakwa.
According to the club Dickson is a 23 year old young player and the player's information on Wikipedia confirms that he is 23 years old but several Ghanaians seems to doubt the age of the Ghanaian forward. Dickson was born on the 26th of April, 1998 that implies that he celebrated his 23rd birthday last five months ago.
Dickson signed for Asante Kotoko as a free agent from Stellenbosch a club in South Africa. His contract will see him spend three years with the most successful club in Ghana, Kotoko.
Of course, the fans of the club are happy to get a ew player but it seems football fans in Ghana and even people who do not follow football doubt the age of Dickson Afoakwa.
As a matter of fact several Ghanaians both on social media and other media cannot stop talking about his age ever since the announcement of his signing was made public.
