Andreas Pereira has agreed to leave Manchester United to sign with Fulham, says Fabrizio Romano. Manchester United will receive £10 million guaranteed plus £3 million in add on. Even if the extras don’t materialise, the initial fee is excellent value.
The midfielder spent the season out on loan at Flamengo, where he played 52 games, scoring eight goals. While he had a desire to remain with the Brazilian side, they could not afford the £8.5 million option to buy in his contract.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Andreas Pereira will undergo medical tests today to complete his transfer move to Fulham. The Manchester United midfielder is expected to ply his trade with the newly-promoted Premier League side beyond this summer.
One of the heavy criticisms that have been put forward by the supporters has been our inability to get the best out of player sales. Fortunately, the Red Devils seem to have finally made a good piece of business in that regard, with the fans acknowledging it as well.
In fact, the amount we are set to receive would be even more impressive considering how Pereira has just 12 months left in his current contract with us. In any case, this move could prove to be of real help for all the parties involved under the current circumstances.
