The Tema Metropolitan Football Association, (TMFA) will hold its ordinary congress on Thursday, January 27, 2022 ahead of the start of the new season.
Thursday's event is also being held to authenticate all promotions and demotions during last season's campaign and to officially bring the season to a close.
The upcoming congress will be held at the Tema Sports Stadium with the program expected to start 8:00am.
Chairman of the TMFA, Pastor Daasebre Adu-Asare is expected to chair the occasion which will be attended by all football stakeholders in the municipality including clubs, referees and administrators among others.
In the grand finale of the competition, the academy lads beat Dasys Sporting Club 2-1 at the Tema Sports Stadium in a very tense game.
In the Juvenile premiership playoff, Great Palmas beat Young Chelsea to gain access to participate in the Greater Accra regional championship.
BAH Football Academy beat Super Abease Stars to gain promotion to the Juvenile Premiership division next season.
Pastor Adu-Asare in an interview pleaded with organisations, philanthropists and other individuals to come to the aid of the Association in terms of sponsorship to help the body accomplish its core purpose of unearthing football talents and future leaders for the country.
He said this will help curtail streetism and other social vices in our communities.
The date for the start of the new season and the program for the campaign is expected to be approved by congress members before the competition starts.
