Ghana champions Asante Kotoko has resumed training ahead of the continuation of the 2022/23 football season.
The campaign, was put on hold to make way for Ghana's participation in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qater which saw the Black Stars exit the competition at the group stage.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA), has announced December 19 as date for the resumption of the campaign after the country's failure at the Mundial.
Coach Seydou Zerbo and his technical team members have been taking the players through their paces to get them ready for the task ahead.
They team returned to training on Monday morning, and they will continue with this exercise throughout the week as they look forward to getting back to action next weekend.
Asante Kotoko will be home to Berekum Chelsea in a betPawa Premier League Matchday Nine fixture at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi when the league resumes.
The club will also take on Bechem United in the FA Cup competition during the Christmas festive period at the same venue as they chase the League and Cup double.
The record Ghana champions, won last season's championship, and they are looking to make a successful defence of their title as well as winning the knockout competition.
After eight matches in the league campaign this season, Asante Kotoko are third on the table, two points behind leaders Aduana FC as we near the midway point of the campaign.
