3 Things Man United Should Change If They Want To Succeed In The Premier League.

There is no doubt Manchester United has been on of the top and prestigious clubs in the Premier League. However, in the last five seasons, things just don’t seem to go well and fans all over the world can’t seem to hide their displeasure in the club anymore.

The maiden game for the Red Devils in the 2022-23 season is in that has gutted a lot of Man United fans. Man United lost 2-1 to the Seagulls (Brighton). From the match, there are certain key changes that must be tackled and dealt with. Here are 3 things learned from the game which needs to be changed.

1. Desperate changes is needed in midfield.

Erik ten Hag opted for the habitual McTominay and Fred partnership in midfield, a combination which many United fans will not like to see again after this game. Ten Hag’s system is nothing without a ball-playing midfielder, and that is what was proved from the result and the performance overall in the game.

It will not be much of a surprise if United will dive into the transfer market for a deep lying midfielder who can dictate play. If not, the club could be in for a long, tough season.

2. Marcus Rashford may need to be benched.

This is supposed to be a do-or-die season for Marcus Rashford. His contract at Manchester United is going to expire next year, and with the way he is performing, there is no guarantee that his contract will be renewed for the next season. Marcus missed two big chances in the game which proved to be essential in the overall layout of the result and his overall form seem to be depreciating.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo should probably leave the club.

If there is any zeal for Ronaldo to stay in the club, that desire is surely gone. Ronaldo was left on the bench at the start of the game and was brought on in the second half when United desperately needed a leader on the pitch. His body language on the pitch wasn’t that great and United’s setback in midfield only added to his frustration as the game went on.

What do you think of these changes? Do you have any to add? Kindly share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
