Accra Hearts of Oak is noted as one of the best and successful clubs in Ghana football. They have produced several legends and are still producing young talents who have the knowledge and intuition in the field of play. Some of these legendary players that they have produced includes Sammy Adjei, Jacob Netteh, Stephen Appiah, Laryea Kingson, Ofei dodoo, Shamoquaye, Don Bortey, Ishmael Addo and the “golden dribbler” Mohammed Polo just to mention a few.they have won the CAF African Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup each once.Hearts of Oak was also ranked 8th football club in the world in the year 2000 when the club dominated most of the continent sporting activities.

The phobians are one of the toughest side to beat in the Ghana Premier League, they have just once in 7 matches that they have featured in, in recent times. They have managed to keep four clean sheets in these difficult matches which is appreciable and highly rated by their fans. One of their productive and versatile defensive midfielder Benjamin Afutu Kotey is said to miss their match against Accra based club Inter Allies on Sunday at the Accra Sports stadium.

The 24 year old is suspended as a result of consecutive accumulation of cards. Which is against the rules governing the game of play that if a player accumulate yellow cards in three matches that player should be suspended. This will be a big blow for the rainbow boys who are title challengers and are fighting hard to win the Ghana Premier League for the first time since 2009.
