Edgar Steven Davids, popularly know as Edgar Davis, born on 13 March, 1973, is a Dutch-Surinamese former professional footballer, and the current coach of Portuguese side, Olhanense. He is also considered by many to be one of the world's greatest footballer of all time.
Edgar Davis is popular for wearing glasses in the world of football, he was one of the most popular football players in the history of football. Due to this, he wore his glasses while playing. The former professional footballer identified as Edgar Davis also played for popular clubs like Juventus and Ajax during his days before he retired. However, many football lovers are aware that Edgar Davis wore glasses in the past but never knew the reason why he did.
Edgar Davis had a significant head injury, which effected his vision. As time went on, he needed surgery to treat his glaucoma. Moreover, glaucoma is a condition that causes vision loss by damaging the Optic nerve.
However, Edgar Davis underwent surgery on his right eye which was successful. After the surgery, his eyesight was stable, but as a result of his improvement, the former professional footballer known as Edgar Davis needed spectacles in order to play again and return to the pitch as soon as possible. Due to this, his eyesight was quite weak and needed spectacles to be fully recovered after surgery.
