Clermont Foot defender Alidu Seidu debuts for Ghana in Japan defeat

Seidu was given his presentation and endured the whole length of the Kirin Cup semi-last conflict against Japan in Kobe.


Tragically, it was a presentation to neglect as Japan whipped Ghana 4-0.


Dark Stars went into the game missing a few starters because of disease and private matters as mentor Otto Addo handled a more fragile side against the Blue Samurai.


Japan started off very strong with Yamane Miki netting the opener on 29 minutes following a complex passing move by the Asians.Crystal Palace star Jordan Ayew evened out in the 44th in the wake of terminating right at the edge of the container, however a fleeting failure in focus saw Japan recover the lead before the break.

After the break Real Mallorca star Takefusa Kubo associated from a cross to give Japan a two-objective lead before Daizen Maeda fixed triumph with eight minutes left.


Ghana will confront Chile in the third-place season finisher after the South Americans were beaten 2-0 by Tunisia prior in the day.


Seidu will expect to be associated with the match on Tuesday.
