Coach Maxwell Konadu: We are happy we won our last game at home

Coach of Ghana Premier League, (GPL) side Legon Cities, Maxwell Konadu expressed delight as he guided the Royals to victory this afternoon.

Cities posted a slim 1-0 win over King Faisal Babes at the El-Wak Sports Stadium to end the first round of the campaign on a high.

Enterprising speedster Jonah Attuquaye scored the lone goal for the home side as they recorded their fourth win of the campaign to ease some of the pressure on the team.

And, Coach Konadu said he was happy with the performance of his charges after responding well to defeat in their last game at Anyinase against Karela United.

"I am very happy with the performance today and, I congratulate the boys for showing up in a difficult game", Coach Konadu said.

"King Faisal are a very good side and you cannot overlook that", he added.

"We did what we have to do today and I am positive that we will build on this going into the second round of the campaign", he stated.

Legon Cities ends the first round of the 2021-22 season on 21 points in 12th position with King Faisal fifth with 26 points.

Also today, Dreams FC secured an important away win over Medeama SC at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa to move ninth on the table.

They won 1-0 against the Yellow and Mauves to take their points build-up to 23 ahead of the start of the second round of the campaign.

Medeama SC has 26 points and in sixth position on the log.
