Update On The Level Of The Nationality Switch Process Of These Players.

Let us get the update on the nationality switch process of these players. These players are Tariq Lamptey, Callum Hudson Odoi, Inaki Williams, Eddie Nketiah, and Nico Williams. We will be looking at the level of completion of these players, that is who has gone through all the formalities, who is in it, and who is yet to start the process. Follow for daily sports updates.

Let us start with Tariq Lamptey. His switch to play the Black Stars of Ghana is currently done. After lots of controversies about the player coming to play for Ghana, he finally accepted and the switch was made. It was confirmed by a London-based Coach, Freddie on Pure FM that the player has now switched to play for Ghana. The rumored squad for the upcoming AFCON qualifies indicates that Tariq Lamptey has his name on it.

The next player on the list is Chelsea's Callum Hudson Odoi. It can be understood that he is in the process of switching to play for Ghana. His situation is different from the others as he cannot play for Ghana unless in November due to FIFA rules. The rule states that any player who is under the age of 21 and has represented a country at most three times has the opportunity to switch to play for another country after three years. His last match for England was three years ago in November. On the 24th of January, Odoi came to Ghana for his passport per reports. News coming in is that he is still working on his nationality switch. The one who brought most of the news surrounding him is Chris Wheatly who is the Chief Arsenal Reporter for football London.

Eddie Nketiah plays for Arsenal and it can be said that he has also accepted to play for the national team. He has already acquired his passport and he is also going through the process. We should expect that there will be more news on him after the end of the Premier League season. He said on the Beautiful Game podcast that he is still open to playing for Ghana as well as England but it is more likely he will play for Ghana looking at reports coming in.

Next will be the Inaki Brothers. They have also accepted to play for Ghana but we have not heard any reports that they have come for their passports and that could change at the end of the season. The news is that they will be visiting the country at the end of the season so we can expect more when the season ends in Spain. They coming to Ghana might be a sign that they are coming for the Ghanaian passports as it is what you need to start FIFA's six processes on nationality switch.
