What has Kotoko learned from the previous managements that have taken the position to sign players just to the start of the season.
One thing that haunted the administration of Dr. Kwame Kyei was the 57 players he signed under his tenure as the Executive Chairman of the club in just three years.
The second coming of Coach Maxwell Konadu saw the exodus of numerous players from the then Kotoko set-up. The Coach brought in his new set of players.
Unfortunately, this strategy did not help the team’s performance and the coach was sacked.
This season, the same process has started with the new coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko. The coach is determined to let go some players and has brought in 8 new players already.
I don’t want to be a prophet of doom but the future does not look bright for Kotoko.
At least some players who have been shown the exit could have added quality to the bench of the club.
Prosper Ogum should be careful with the purchases he is making because it will come back to hunt him.
