A versatile player set to join a well privileged club in the Ghana Premier League

William Opoku Mensah born on January 3, 1996 is a Ghanaian professional player who played formerly for Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko but has sealed a move to Accra based club Liberty Professionals.He scored five goals in ten matches for his former club. He has also had a stint with numerous clubs in Ghana such as Karela FC, Swope Pork Rangers Eleven Wise just to mention a few.

William Opoku Mensah has previously represented the Ghana Black Stars B team at international level.Scored 2 goals for Ghana B in 5 friendly matches. His movement in front of goal and his capability to burry goals in the net earn him a high recognition in the Ghana Premier League.He joined Liberty Professionals, who is well noted for nurturing and world class players. Some of these players includes Ghanaian football legends such as Asamoah Gyan, Michael Essen, Kojo Asamoah, Sulley Alli Muntari, Michael Helegbe just to mention a few.

The 25-year-old was available on a free transfer after leaving the Porcupine Warriors in January 2021. And Mensah made four appearances in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League with Kotoko.He had no goal and assist to his credit. Mensah also featured in the CAF Champions League 1-0 defeat to Al Hilal at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Scientific soccer stars have recently witnessed a poor run of performance in their games. They have just won once in their last 5 matches and that was a way from home in a game against Ashanti Gold SC at Obuasi Len Clay stadium.They have lost three matches and drew against Inter Allies in a game that should have been won by them with ease. The Professionals take on Sunyani based club Bechem United and will be looking forward to return back to winning ways as they sit 17th on the league table log.
