Players makes their request based on sponsorship-Supporter of Kotoko

Asante Kotoko must be weary of how they go about and do their things. Looking at the current board members of the team with high profile and status, the players and other supporters know that it is done and dusted when it comes to monetary issues. But here we are talking about players per diems.

According to a report filed by Kumasi-based radio station OTEC FM, the newly appointed Board members of the club will reshuffle the current management as they hope to reshape the team to regain its status in African Football.

The Porcupine Warriors faced the Sudanese giants in the first leg of the CAF Champions League qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday December 23. Kotoko needed a result that cushions them ahead of the second leg in Sudan later on.

However, the porcupine warriors currently have Goil, MTN, Hollard Insurance, Hisense and Paradise Pac Mineral Water as sponsors of the club and it is believed Nana Yaw Amponsah is now bringing on Ghacem and Absa as the sponsors of the club. These are mega and mind-blowing deals that can take the team very far with the resources available. Talking about new sponsorship, It is difficult for Ghana football to succeed unless Kotoko succeeds.

That’s how it has been in the past and that’s how it should be in the future,” Nana Akufo Addo told Nana Yaw Amponsah. “Kotoko a very special, cherished and enviable role in Ghanaian Sports development,” he added. The players have family and other friends who look up to them for daily needs. And with the emergence of the rich board of Krobea, everybody thinks all is well.

Come to think of it, how will a players who know the number of sponsorship the club have and the worth they are bringing on the board as well understand when they have not been paid their bonuses and per diems for almost five matches now.
