Leader and founder of Alabaster International Ministries (Alabaster House Chapel), Prophet Kofi Oduro has sent a strong warning to the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku Mantey regarding the allocated budget for the Ghana National Team popularly known as Black Stars. Prophet Oduro has warned Mr. Kurt Okraku to bring back the balance of the $25m (GH¢140) budget which was to be used in the African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) by the Black Stars.
His reason is that as the National could not get to where they were expected to be in the competition, the rest of the money should be refunded as they couldn't get far in it. The Black Stars were in the Group C of the AFCON group stages but suffered a loses and a draw in the competition which saw to their early exit from the competition. The had an embarrassing defeat from their opponent, Comoros after they were scored three (3) goals which they were only able to score two (2) goals.
It has been the normal act of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to always turn a blind eye on refunding competition budget money or giving any account of how it was spent on the players. This is what has caused Prophet Kofi Oduro to send such a warning to the association as he knows the remaining amount of the $25m will not be refunded.
