A team of referees where mercilessly beaten by angry Fans in the division one league on Sunday afternoon on the 28 of March. They did this because they were expecting a win in that match but they didn't get what they were expecting.
According to report, this was a game between Wanamafo Mighty Royals and Bofoakwa Tano. Tension from both teams fans were really high, both fans were expecting win for their teams and that, didn't come true for them as the match ended in a goalless draw.
Fans for the home team quickly took the field when they heard the final whistle, started assaulting the match officials, beating them up mercilessly to the extent that the referee Niatire Suntuo Aziz Lost some of his teeth.
According to starr FM, the home fans were not satisfied with the performance of the referee, because all his decisions on the field went in favor of the away team so they also took the decision of descending to the field immediately after the final whistle.
