Manchester City may have enjoyed a superior season than Chelsea, but the Londoners have now won two of their three meetings against the Cityzens. Manchester City could have celebrated winning the league with a win today, but City's title party have been put on hold for now.
Both Clubs have booked a spot in the Champions League final. Manchester City took the lead, courtesy a Raheem Sterling goal in the first half and the Cityzens could have extended their lead but, Talisman Striker Sergio Aguero missed from the spot after a failed panenka attempt. Chelsea got one back in, courtesy a Hakim Ziyech goal in the second half. Both sides played well, but everything looked like the Londoners were on a hunt to punish the blues of Manchester, and they sure did with a sublime finish from Marcos Alonso in the dying minutes of the game.
As it stands, the top four race keeps getting interesting, the red devils are gladly watching from behind as they have two games in hand. Chelsea's win over Manchester City will surely boost their confidence as both sides will battle it out in the Champions League final, come May 29. Can Thomas Tuchel and his men continue their impressive run of form?. Pep Guardiola on the other hand may be shaking to the core, but it is not yet time to write the Mastermind off.
