The Obuasi-based club has been demoted to the Division 2 League after being found Guilty of Match Manipulation in their 2020/21 Ghana Premier League Matchday 34 game against Inter Allies.
Liberty Professionals produced a classic performance to fight back for a first win in the three-way all-play-all first game in the playoffs for the GPL slot.
The spirited performance saw the Dansoman-based club defeating Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs with a 3-1 scoreline at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Dwarfs failed to hold their lead after scoring an opener on the sixth minute.
Blaise MacAdjei got the equalizer for Liberty Professionals on the 10th minute after Richard Addai had scored an early goal to secure the lead for Dwarfs.
William Oduro grabbed the maximum points for the Scientific Soccer Lads after scoring brace on the 38th and the 68th minute.
It’s a good step taken by the Division One League runners-up as they prepare to face Tamale City in their second encounter of the play-offs.
