Following a month-long hiatus caused by the 2022 FIFA World Cup, some of the main European leagues restarted during the celebrations, with some of Ghana's top players returning to their club responsibilities.
Some of Ghana's best athletes competed in the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, French Ligue 1, and English Championship as they all resumed play.
In Saturday's triumph over Bournemouth for Crystal Palace, Jordan Ayew netted his first league goal of the year. Since the start of the season, the player had not scored a Premier League goal.
In Brighton's defeat to Arsenal, Tariq Lamptey also played, and Mohammed Salisu was substituted late in Southampton's defeat to Fulham.
On December 30, Daniel Amartey took part in Leicester City's defeat to Liverpool.
