4 African male footballers who are/were siblings

African stands out to be one of the continents with great and talented footballers and even with these players, some have brothers whom they play with as their team mates or play for other club teams which most football fans do not know. This article is made up of some 4 African footballers who are or were siblings.

1.Ayew Brothers:

The Ayew brothers are know precisely from Ghana. Andre Morgan Rami Ayew and his brother Jordan Pierre Ayew are the sons of Maha Ayew also known as Abedi Pele, the former captain of blackstars and African footballer of the year. Andre who was born on 17th December 1989 is older than his brother since he(Jordan) was born on 11th September 1991 and both brothers once played in one team(Marseille) which their father(Abedi Pele) also played. The Ayew brothers made appearance by playing for the Ghana National team(Blackstars). In 2011 Andre Ayew also known as Dede Ayew was named the BBC African footballer of the year and a Ghanaian footballer of the year.

2.Gyan Brothers:

Asamoah Gyan was born on 22nd November 1985 while his brother Baffour Gyan was born on 2nd July 1980. Baffour Gyan is the older brother of Asamoah Gyan and these same brothers played for their National team which is the "Ghana Blackstars". Asamoah plays as a striker for the Blackstars which his retired brother also played that same position. Asamoah Gyan is the all time leading goal scorer of the Ghana National team, with 51 goals and also played for Sunderland, Rennes, Al Ain and others which his brother also played for Dynamo, Moscow Fc satin and Czech side, Slovan Liberes.

3.Toure Brothers:

Yaya Toure is the younger brother of Kolo Toure who was his teammate at Beveren, Manchester City and Ivorian National team. Yaya Toure was born on 13th of May 1983 while Kolo Toure was born on March 19 1981. Their younger brother Ibrahim Toure who was also a footballer died on 19th of June 2014 after a short battle with cancer.

4.Uche Brothers:

Both brothers are from Nigeria. Uche Ikechukwu is the younger brother of Kalu Uche and both played for the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Ikechukwu was born on 5th January 1984 and played for Nigeria as a striker while his brother Kalu was born on 15th November 1982 also had forward as his position. They both spent most of their career in Spain.
