Black Galaxies arrive safely in Ghana from Austria, heads to Cape Coast to face Nigeria on Sunday

Ghana's locally based national football team, the Black Galaxies have arrived safely in Ghana ahead of Sunday's game with Nigeria.

The Black Galaxies traveled to Austria to take part in a four-nation tourney that also featured 2022 FIFA World Cup hosts Qater.

Ghana lost 2-1 to Qatar in the only game they played on Tuesday in Vienna, and, they travelled back to Ghana on Wednesday evening in time to prepare for the Nigerian game.

Ghana will face the Nigerians in a final qualifier for the CHAN tournament to be played in Algeria next year.

The first leg encounter will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday with the return fixture set to come off in Abuja on September 4, 2022.

The winner of this two-legged affair will qualify to play at the CHAN tournament next year in the North African country.

Coach Annor Walker and his charges will be hoping to qualify Ghana to the tournament next year for the first time in eight years.

Ghana, has failed to make it to the tournament reserved for footballers who ply their trade in their own countries for the last three editions.
