Lionel Messi is an Argentine international who plays for FC Barcelona in the La Liga Santander. He has featured for Barca for a very long time and has made a great impact in the team by scoring spectacular goals and winning trophies with the team.
As of 1st March 2020, Lionel Messi scored 696 career goals for both club and country. In Barca's Champions League match against Bayern Munich this year, they were heavily humiliated by Bayern by 8 goals to 2 which eventually led to Messi wanting to leave the club. This decision led to a big brouhaha in the football fraternity and the Barca team as a whole.
Later, Messi decided to stay at the club. It is very rare to see Messi play four to five matches scoring just a goal and also playing awfully. This season, Messi has scored just a goal in five matches and also playing very awfully by easily loosing balls to opponents. This season, Messi has lost 68 balls to opponents which is unusual of him. The question here is that, is he internationally playing awfully in order to force his move out of the club or his career is gradually fading away?
