Asante Kotoko Legend Directs Accra Hearts of Oak To Ways Of Beating WAC Tomorrow

At a time when Asante Kotoko supporters are sharply divided whether to support Accra Hearts of Oak tomorrow or not, Kotoko legend Sarfo Gyamfi has given a critical assessment of Accra Hearts of Oak ahead of the WAC clash. He admonished Accra Hearts of Oak to be calm from the beginning and score two goals at the end of proceedings. He acknowledged the threat posed by the Moroccan club.

“WAC is dangerous at home. You remember we played them two times during our time. It is not easy in their home. The weather is changing in their country and the match will be played in the evening. The first 25 minutes is not easy in their home. Accra Hearts of Oak should be calm and get a goal. I have watched WAC and they have a good team. Two nil be will be ok for the first leg”, said Sarfo Gyamfi on Oyerepa Sports this morning.

Points articulated by the former Black Stars player are essential ingredients tailored for success in the forthcoming encounter. It is not out of luck and blunder that Confederation of Africa Football, CAF, included WAC among teams that play in this round of Champions League. They are a compact side that is capable of causing upset in any part of Africa. With the first leg taking place in Accra, Ghana, Accra Hearts of Oak can make a big deal towards group stage if they go by a well-thought-out strategy to get goals at home. Sarfo Gyamfi’s enviable experience in African Football with Asante Kotoko has informed his thoughts on the game and that becomes priceless for the team to adhere to.

Lack of playing time for any team across the globe becomes an albatross whenever they square off with active side. This paints the present picture between Accra Hearts of Oak and WAC. Whereas the Moroccan League is in full swing, Ghana Premier League is yet to kick off, a situation which is worrying and could thwart efforts of coach Samuel Boadu and his lads according to Sarfo Gyamfi. It will have been an easy test for the rainbow club if they were playing WAC when the season is in session.

“Accra Hearts of Oak have a good team but they can’t score three goals against WAC. The players are heavy now because of the break. If they were to play WAC when the Ghana Premier League was in session, it will have been different.”
