With the approval of the project team, there will be a subsequent meeting to approve the timelines for the full implementation of VAR in 2022/2023 GPL season
This has attracted many attention as a lot of football fans believes although the Video Assistant Referee is good it is not needed at this time.
Many have given reasons concerning thier decision not to need the VAR at this time of the Ghana Premier League.
According to some, there is the need to make our pitches green and football friendly for our players. Most of the pitches are not green even in the rainy season.
Wouldn't it be fair if there is a project to ensure our pitches are good for football?
Moreover, others are of the view that we need proper cameras to even capture the matches and not to seek for VAR at this time.
Again some even thinks there is a need to seek for standard stadia, Proper pitches, Sponsorships, Competitive Wages and Welfare system for our players before even the VAR comes in.
Here are some of the tweets from football fans
