Meet your favorite Players that showed up good performances to win the FIFA Ballon d`Or.

The FIFA BALLON d`Or (Golden Ball) was an annual association football award presented to the world`s best men`s player from 2010 to 2015 .It was awarded jointly by FIFA and France Football. The prize was a merger of the FIFA World Player of the year award and the Ballon d`Or .The two most prestigious individual honors in world football .

Unlike the Ballon d`Or awarded by France Football , the FIFA Ballon d`Or was not awarded based on votes from international journalist , but votes from national team coaches and captains who selected the players they deemed to have performed the best in the previous calendar year.

Below were the winners of the FIFA Ballon d`Or;

2010: This year happened to be the beginning of the FIFA Ballon d`Or award. The awards were not presented precisely in this year, but was based on the performances of the players in the year. The awards ceremony took place on 10th January, 2011 in Zurich , Switzerland . The three finalist were announced on 6th December, 2010. In this year , FC Barcelona achieved a record breaking honor in becoming the first club ever to have all the three finalist for the FIFA Ballon d`Or in one same year. These players were; Lionel Messi , Andres Iniesta & Xavi.

2011: This was the second year for FIFA`s awards for the top football players of the year .The awards were given out in Zurich on 9th January ,2012 .It was hosted by former Ballon d`Or winner Ruud Gullit and broadcast journalist Kay Murray of Real Madrid TV . The top three nominees for the 2011 FIFA Ballon d`Or were ;Lionel Messi , Cristiano Ronaldo and Xavi .

2012: This was the third year for FIFA `s awards for the top football players of the year . The award was given out in Zurich on 7th January, 2013 .It was hosted by former Ballon d`Or winner Ruud Gullit and broadcast journalist Kay Murray of Real Madrid TV and Fox Soccer. The names of the three finalist were announced on the 29th November, 2012.

2013:This was the fourth year for the FIFA`s awards for the top football players of the year . The awards were given out in Zurich on the 13th January, 2014 . The deadline for the voting was 15th November, 2013 . For the first time ever FIFA announced that the voting was extended to 29th November , 2013 for "after receiving a response of less than 50% from eligible voters before the original deadline " , when Lionel Messi was leading the vote .

2014: This was the fifth year for the FIFA`s awards for the top football players of the year . The awards were given out in Zurich on 12th January, 2015. The ceremony was hosted by Kate Abdo. The three nominees were Cristiano Ronaldo , Lionel Messi and Manuel Nuer .
