Otto Addo Steps Down As Black Star Head Coach

The coach of the Ghana National team Otto Addo has resigned as manager of the team. He has resigned following the Black Star exit from the group stage of the ongoing world cup in Qatar. According to the interview held in Qatar after the match against Uruguay, the manager made it emphatically he has discussed with the football association on his resignation after the world cup. He says it was discussed between him and the association in October after the Black Stars qualified ahead of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

"I always said if we qualified for the World Cup I'd resign afterwards, even if we were world champions. My family see our future in Germany", he said.

He deserves to be congratulated for at least leading Ghana to qualify for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar even though the team was eliminated in the group stage. It was very hard for the Black Star to qualify after they were drawn against Nigeria.
