Asante Kotoko coach blames the pitch after their draw

Asante Kotoko coach Johnson Smith attributed his team's 1-1 draw at Eleven Wonders on Saturday, 3 April 2021, to the poor pitch in Techiman.

Fabio Gama's six-minute goal gave the Porcupine Warriors an early lead.

A half-volley from outside the box was teleported past goalkeeper John Moosie by the Brazilian import.

However, five minutes before halftime, Samuel Boakye headed in a cross from the right to draw the game level.

"The boys did well because this is the first match in the second round after a long break, and the pitch because we are working on our pitch and coming to see how we are doing, and it's different from this pitch, so possession wasn't coming," Smith said in a post-match interview with StarTimes.
