'I'm not a scout at Dortmund; I'm A mentor' - Otto Addo

Ghana mentor Otto Addo plays explained his part at Borussia Dortmund, demanding he's not a scout but rather a mentor at the club.


The 47-year-old played for the Bundesliga side for almost 10 years before taking up a job on the specialized seat in the wake of hanging up his boots.


The previous midfielder is presently consolidating his job at Dortmund with that of Ghana, where he is set to lead the Black Stars to the 2022 World Cup after directing the side to beat Nigeria at the end of the season games.

There have, in any case, been changed conclusions on his particular job at Dortmund, with some recommending he is a scout at the German side.


Responding to this, however, Addo said he has continued from being a scout and is right now a mentor who trains youthful players for the main group.


"Most importantly, I am not a scout, I am a mentor. I did exploring in 2014 for the Ghana National group. I enlisted in the public group since I live in Germany so I did the exploring in 2014. From that point forward, I at no point ever explored in the future so I am functioning as right hand; a greater amount of top ability mentor in control… particularly the youthful players at Borussia Dortmund," he said, as cited by Myjoyonline.

"I guide them, I mentor them on positional preparation and I help the mentor during the preparation during the week, I guide the youthful players when they go down, particularly [when] they don't play in the principal group."


The Ghana mentor added: "They play for the subsequent group. I guide them, I break down their games and I discuss the games with the youthful players… That's vital as far as we're concerned; For Borussia Dortmund to foster their players. They get exceptional criticism from me.

"I conclude which youthful player will come up to the principal group and can prepare and play with the main group."The Black Stars are matched against Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea in Group H of the World Cup in Qatar.
