Accra Hearts of Oak are currently the league leaders in the ongoing Ghana Premier League. The phobians did not have a good start in the campaign but have been resilient in the second round of the competition competition since the appointment of their head coach Samuel Boadu.
Head Coach, Samuel Boadu was the former gaffer for Tarkwa based club Medeama SC last season. Ever since his appointment, the rainbow boys have been performing tremendously well and have maintained their momentum in this year’s competition of the Ghana Premier League.
In relation to this, former players of the club and pundits are backing him to win the league this season. Many have also admonished the fans of the club to exercise patience with the coach because he will win many trophies for them.
One of the former players of the club, Samuel Johnson AKA “Foyoo” who helped the Ghanaian Premier League giants to win many trophies during his playing days has also given his take on the performance of the coach. These were the words from the legend “I’m sure he can take us [Hearts of Oak] to the promised land.” He said.
He further added that he will perform marvellously if he gets the support he deserves from the club officials, the players and the fans, he said “I think he [Samuel Boadu ] can do it if we support him. I’m saying that because the guy is in love with the club, that is one, and two he loves to be in the club. So everything that he wants to do is to achieve something for the club. So based on that, he needs our support and if I look at him from Medeama, what he has done there, how he built the team then I can say he is capable”.
Hearts take on Berekum Chelsea on Sunday as their next fixture in the Ghana Premier League.
