Just In: Popular Ghanaian Footballer Dies Again Days After Kotoko Player Was Laid To Rest

It seems 2021 is another bad year for Ghanaian celebrities and prominent people. We all thought 2020 was the bad year for everyone in Ghana here but 2021 have been dealing with us drastically. There are always a bad news hitting Ghana here and there. Just in a popular Ghanaian footballer have been reported dead just after an ex Kotoko player also died.

The footballer was reported dead on Sunday but later hit up in Ghana early this morning. Former Hearts of Oak Defender reported dead at the age of just 35 years old. Charles Vardis  played for Hearts for five years before moving to Israeli side Maccabi Herzliya FC in 2008. He later returned to the Ghana Premier League to play for New Edubiase United after just a year in Europe.

He was a member of the Under- 23 squad national team, Black meteors in 2006 after he was called up for the first time. His death have made every Hearts of Oak supporter sad. Now we all hope this will be the last we hear something like that.
