The back and forth in our community has been around the ridiculous budget set for the Black Stars to win the AFCON and reach the World Cup semi-final. It has become an anniversary not to be celebrated but to cry about.
Ghanaians, both football lovers and those who do not love the game show concern when it comes to huge budgets given to Black Stars to play tournaments.
Continuously, the cry of the citizens are not heeded to, but as the popular saying goes "you will have your say and we will have our way" has been the order of the day.
When the administration changed, we all believed that something good was about to come. But what Ghanaians are witnessing now shows a vast difference between their expectation and what they are seeing.
The disappointment comes from the fact that the GFA President gave Ghanaians an assuring slogan which meant that there will be a change in his administration.
It seems the "bring back the love" agenda will fall flat if Kurt Okraku decides to tow this line. The current team we have doesn't match our ambitions. Winning the next AFCON and getting to the Semi-Final of the World Cup is not just by expectations.
Raising huge amounts of money will not win the trophy and bringing back the love shouldn't be about money.
The above picture shows how Ghanaians loved the game and pledged their support for the Stars and the Ghanaian game.
It is a pity, we can't bring back the love this way.
