Mfegue’s Positional Awareness Is Exceptional

The Cameroonian forward had a full thrive last week when Kotoko lost to King Faisal at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The five goals that came out of the match came from two player from both sides.

That game marked the first time Mfegue had the chance to represent the team for the full 90 minutes. Although the match ended in a defeat to the Porcupines, the Center Forward was exceptional.

In the process of scoring the two goals, at each time, he was in the right position to connect those chances.

Starting from the fallout of a corner kick spilling from the hands of Frank Boateng, the player was there to convert.

The second goal came from an exceptional cross which many players would have ignored, but the player’s position in the 18 yard box made it easier for him to head the ball from that close range to score the second goal.

If the player keeps performing this way, he will be matching Valentine Artem and Ahmed Toure as one of the best foreign strikers to have played in Ghana.
