The last quiz held at UGBS on Saturday 3rd October,2020 was the quarterfinals NSMQ contest between Adisadel College,Ola SHS and St. Peters SHS. The contest began with the contestants introducing themselves.
At the end of the first round, St. Peters SHS was leading the pack with 27 points, Adisadel College followed suit with 19points and Ola SHS earned 10 points.
The second round which was the speed race required the contestants to ring their bells to answer the questions. At the end of the round, St. Peters SHS was still leading with 28points, Adisadel College had 27 points and Ola SHS had 13 points.
The third round which had the problem of the day was sponsored by Prudential bank. An award, The Prudential NSMQ Star was to be awarded to any school which had a perfect score of 10marks. The award was worth GHS 2800.00. At the end of that round, Adisadel College had 6 points, St. Peters SHS had 6points and Ola SHS had 7 points. No school won the award.
The fourth round being the ‘true or false’ round had the schools performing as follows: Adisadel College had 49points,Ola SHS had 33 points and St.Peters SHS had 44 points.
The Goil riddle bonanza Is rewarded to anything that answers three or four riddles correctly. At the end of the contest, Ola SHS had 39 points, St. Peters SHS had 47points and Adisadel College won with 49 points.
Ola SHS was rewarded GHS 1560 by Absa Bank. St.Peters was rewarded GHS 1880, Adisadel College won the contest and was rewarded GHS 1960 by Absa Bank and GHS 3000 by AirtelTigo.
