Arsenal's transfer deadline day signing, Thomas Teye Partey made his debut appearance for the gunner today in the premier league fixture with Manchester City at the Etihad Sport Stadium in Manchester. Many Ghanaian were looking forward to the 45 million pound signing to start today but he came only in the 82nd minute of the match replacing Arsenal's former captain Granit Xhaka.

The away side lost the match by a goal from Manchester City and England forward Rahim Sterling in the first half of the match at the 23rd minute. Thomas Partey was part of Black Stars' two friendly matches a weeks ago against Mali and Qatar in Turkey where Ghana lost to Mali and won 5 goals to 1 against Qatar. Thomas Partey spent just a few minutes on the pitch but was booked on the 93rd minutes. Arsenal's next premier league match is against Leicester at the Emirate Sport Stadium on Sunday October 25th.
