Laporta hopes Messi finishes career at Barcelona.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has said that he hopes Lionel Messi will give up his profession "in a Barca shirt".

Messi left the Camp Nou for Paris Saint-Germain ultimate summer, after 17 years in the Barcelona first group, as the Catalan giants struggled with financial issues.

But Laporta is hopeful that the 35-yr-old may be capable of go back to Barca before he hangs up his boots.

"Messi's time at Barca did not end as all of us could've liked," he advised Spanish press at some point of the membership's pre-season excursion of the United States.

"I accept as true with that Barca have a moral debt in the direction of Leo Messi. We would really like the quit of his career to come in a Barca blouse, being applauded at all the grounds, anyplace he is going."

Laporta clarified that "nothing has been discussed" with Messi, who has one season left on his PSG settlement with an option for an extra 12 months.

"It turned into a transient quit (to his Barca career) due to the fact I agree with that we are able to make this desire a reality," he brought.

Messi scored only 11 goals in all competitions in his debut PSG campaign, the primary time he had scored fewer than 30 in a season on the grounds that 2007-08.
