Orlando Pirates have qualified for the finals of the CAF Confederation cup final after defeating Al Ahly Tripoli of Libya. The Buccaneers have been doing well in the competition despite their poor form in the league. They are on course to lift a trophy at the end of the season.
Pirates won the first leg 2 nil away in Libya. In the return leg, they lost by a lone goal but progressed to the final 2-1 on aggregate. Thanks to the agility and quick thinking of Ofori, they are through to the finals. Richard Ofori was the reason they qualified. He made some outstanding saves to prevent the visitors from scoring more. He was very decisive in the air and controlled his defence quite well. Peprah was also leading from the front. He wasn't particularly effective in the first half but came alive in the second to give the opposition something to think about. He wasn't on the scoresheet but his contribution was immense to their qualification.
Orlando Pirates will play RSB Berkane of Morroco in the finals for a chance to win the prestigious trophy at stake.
