I will not turn down the opportunity to play for Ghana, says Anderlecht midfielder Ashimeru.

Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has unveiled that he 'won't turn down the chance of playing for the senior public group of Ghana, the Black Stars.

The 24-year-old, who had a great 2021/22 season in Belgium, was not named mentor Otto Addo's crew for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and the four-country competition called 2022 Kirin Cup.

Ishimaru showed up for Anderlecht last season, scored three objectives and gave two bits of help as the Purple and White completed third on the association table.

"I'm completely Ghanaian, I support the Blackstars, I won't turn down a chance of playing for the group, will see the value in them calling me to come and play for them," he told JoyNews.

"It's in each footballer's arrangements; you need to acquire it, invest all the more hard effort; I will ensure I can give my very best."

The profoundly evaluated midfielder made his presentation for Ghana on 25th May 2017 in a cordial against Benin under Kwesi Appiah.
