Worst Season Ever For Me Says Former Chelsea Player

Hazard admitted that his first year at Real Madrid was the worst season of his career.

Former Chelsea star Hazard weighed on Madrid's entrance fee, which was supposed to be € 100 million last July but was injured in 2019-2020.

Hamstring problem postponed his debut for Los Blancos, while foot and ankle problems contributed, starting with just 21 matches in all competitions.

Madrid won the Supercopa de Espana and LaLiga in 2019-20 and remain in the Champions League, despite losing 2-1 from the first match in the 16th draw against Manchester City.

Although happy to win at the Santiago Bernabeu, Hazard admitted that he didn't help much.

There are injuries, but I hope this will improve next year," said Hazard, who remained in the team on Sunday to face Leganes.

Even if this season isn't bad for me, I can't ask for a better experience than coming here and winning the league in my first year.

This year we won the joint title because I believe I have the worst season of my career at the individual level.

If Madrid overcome their deficit against City, he will face Juventus or Lyon in the quarter-finals when the Champions League moves to Lisbon."It was a strange season with everything that happened," Hazard said.

This season has been very good, but I think it could be better if we emerge from the last 16 of the Champions League.

When you play for Real Madrid, you want to win all kinds of titles. The next is the Champions League, even if it's difficult because we have to play at Manchester City and they have a very good team.

When he brought Madrid's fame to LaLiga, he saw Zinedine Zidane win the trophy in two spells responsible for eleven - three less than Miguel Munoz's club record.

We all know Zidane as a player, he is the best. We don't even have to describe him as a coach,Hazard said.

He showed in a few years that he has become one of the best coaches. He trusts his players and his players believe him. That is why it works.

Madrid are on their way to scoring fewer goals in a La Liga season with 38 matches in their history, and Hazard believes "Rafael Varane is one of the best centers in history

The winger said: "I have known many great defenders in my career, like John Terry or Vincent Kompany.

I think Rapha, although still young, has become one of the best centrists in history. The partnership with Sergio Ramos is extraordinary.
