Yendi Gbewaa FC names Abdulrazak Mohammed Ekpoki as new head coach

The issue between the Brazilian, Yendi Gbewaa FC and AshantiGold SC, is still to be resolved with the Division One side demanding damages from the two.

Coach Ekpoki, has signed a one-year renewable deal with Yendi Gbewaa FC, and, has been tasked to maintain the club as a second tier side this season.

Born in Nigeria, Coach Ekpoki enjoyed quiet a successful playing career, starting off with Nigerian sides, Kano Pillars and Plateau United, and, also played in Egypt, Spain, Belgium, Croatia, Vietnam, Slovenia and Malaysia.

He speaks six languages, English, Hausa, Spanish, Arabic, Croatian and Yoruba.

Before signing for Yendi Gbewaa FC, Coach Ekpoki was on the books of NK Rovinj in Croatia where he last played and coached.

Yendi Gbewaa FC has risen up the Zone One league table in recent weeks after enduring a tough start to the season for unexplained reasons.

Coach Ekpoki and his new technical team, will seek to maintain their status in the league and plan for the next campaign.
