Sadio Mane And Mo Salah Among African Footballer Of The Year Nominees For 2022

Sadio Mane and four current Premier League stars have been assigned for the African Footballer of the Year prize at the current year's CAF Awards.

The Confederation of African Football has not held its yearly honors function starting around 2019 because of the COVID pandemic.

Mane, who as of late joined Bayern Munich from Liverpool, won the honor for Africa's top men's player in 2019 and he is again designated on a waitlist of 10 up-and-comers.

Senegal skipper Mane is viewed as a logical victor subsequent to driving his country to greatness at the Africa Cup of Nations in February.

Previous Liverpool partner Salah is one more solid competitor, after the Egypt legend finished the 2021/22 Premier League season as the joint topscorer, as well as giving a greater number of helps than some other player.

The other EPL players designated are Chelsea's Senegalese guardian Edouard Mendy, Manchester City's Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez and Guinean Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita.

Napoli focus back Kalidou Koulibaly is the third Senegalese chosen one, while Cameroon are addressed on the waitlist by two players in Lyon's Karl Toko Ekambi and Al Nassr's Vincent Aboubakar.

Different players selected are Sebastien Haller (Ivory Coast and Borussia Dortmund) and Achraf Hakimi (Morocco and Paris St-Germain).
