Arsenal completes third summer signing

Arsenal Football Club makes their third signing of the summer ahead of the 2021/2022 campaign after agreeing a deal with Brighton and Hove Albion for Ben White. Arsenal has signed the English International defender on a long-term 5 year deal which keeps him at the club until June 2026. Ben White was part of the England squad participated in the just ended EUROS where England were beaten by the Italian team on penalties.

The 23 year old defender will wear the number 4 shirt at Arsenal previously worn by the likes of former Arsenal players, Mertesacker, Vieira and Fabregas. In Ben's first interview session at the club he disclosed "I'm buzzing to be here" . Head coach and manager, Mikel Arteta also added "Ben was a top target for us and it's great that we've completed his signing.

The North London club looks to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. The Gunners recently completed the signings of Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga from Benfica and Anderlecht respectively. Ben White is the latest inclusion to the team. Arsenal finished 8th on the league table in the 2020/2021 campaign, thus missing out on European competitions for the first time in twenty-five years. The fourteen Times FA Cup champions were also defeated by Villareal of Spain in the 2020/2021 UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE, the latter eventually became champions . These signings are part of their preparation to bounce back on European scenes in the coming seasons.
