Meanwhile the Cameroonian striker, Karl Toko Ekambi, Nigerian hitman, Victor Osimhen and the Zambian forward, Patson Dakar lead the goal chart in the Europa league with 5 goals, 4 goals, 4 goals respectively. The like of Wabhi Khaziri, Saido Mane, Taiwo Awoniyi, Mame Diouf, Aubameyang, Paul Onuachu and several others have also been prolific in their leagues, and their amazing performances signals we may be witnessing an interesting competition.
The competition kicks in on the 9th of January 2022 and these players would be out of action for their respective European clubs till it ends on February 6th.
The Pharaohs of Egypt would be counting on in-form Mohammad Salah to lead them to win their 8th AFCON title, while Ivory Coast have a new gem in Ajax goal machine, Sebastian Haller who is set to spearhead the attack for the Les Éléphants. Saido Mane and the Taranga Lions would also be looking forward to winning it this time around after the defeat in finals of the last edition.
