Asante Kotoko will not escape defeat at Obuasi tomorrow - AshantiGold SC vows

Ghana Premier League, GPL side AshantiGold SC has vowed to beat Asante Kotoko in their outstanding fixture tomorrow.

The Miners will host Kotoko at the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi as the two sides clear their outstanding game postponed from Matchday 29 for security reasons.

And, the home side has made notice of their intentions for this encounter, vowing to win it to put on hold Asante Kotoko's confirmation as champions this season.

The Porcupines will be confirmed as winners of the 2021/22 campaign if they avoid defeat at Obuasi tomorrow as they lead the standing by nine points with three matches to play after this fixture.

Asante Kotoko holds a better head-to-head record over second placed Bechem United and, cannot be overtaken on the league table by any side if they pick a point against AshGold tomorrow.

However, the Miners said they are determined to deny their regional rivals the chance to win the diadem at Obuasi and, will be going for the win.

A club spokesperson told the local media ahead of this fixture that, "we are confident of picking the three points against Kotoko tomorrow afternoon and, they cannot escape from defeat".

AshantiGold SC he added, harbour hopes of finishing in the top-four, and, they will give it their all for the reminder of the campaign.

This, therefore, throws the spotlight firmly in the camp of the Porcupines who have to respond to get the desired result that would ensure their confirmation as champions for this season.
