Richard Commey is a Boxer With a Big Heart - Lomachenko

Former unified IBF Lightweight champion, Vasiliy Lomachenko has touted the qualities of Ghanaian and former IBF world champion, Richard Commey ahead of their clash.

The two boxers who have each lost to dethroned world champion, Teofimo Lopez, will be up for fisticuffs on Saturday at the Madison Square Garden in New York in the main event of a Top Rank boxing card. The Ukrainian, 33 , who last defeated Japanese, Masayoshi Nakatani via TKO in June, faces Commey, 34 , a victor over Dominican boxer, Jackson Marinez in February. Lomachenko (15-2, 11 KO) believes Richard Commey (30-3, 27 KO) is a quality boxer with a big heart.

“I’m very excited because it’s the next step of my boxing career. “And like I said, it will be very very interesting for fans,” Vasiliy Lomachenko said. “I said before, he [Richard Commey] has a big power, he has the reach and he has experience and he has a big heart.” Vasiliy Lomachenko added.

The winner of the bout becomes the mandatory challenger to the IBF World title held by George Kambosos who defeated Teofimo Lopez.
